Flat Top Upper Receiver “Complete” (without M4 Feed Ramps) (Includes the ejection port door cover and forward assist, both professionally installed, inspected and tested). The “Second foundation” for any AR-15 type building project, (The first being the lower receiver). Our upper receivers are made to the tightest tolerances in the industry. They are then inspected and re-inspected. We offer a 100% LIFETIME warranty against any manufacturing defects.
NOTE: You will need to be sure you match your barrel extension type and the upper receiver type. If the barrel has ramps then you want a receiver with ramps. If it does not have ramps you want a receiver without ramps. If you mix and match these parts you WILL have serious feeding problems. The only exception is that you can use a ramped barrel in a non-ramped receiver and it will function acceptably. Any other mismatch will not work.
There are no restrictions on ordering or shipping this part and we can ship this directly to you.
Our upper receivers are 100% “Mil-Spec” Our upper receivers meet every dimension and tolerance in the specification.
By the way, just to be perfectly clear for those hyper detailed folks out there; The "Mil-Spec" says the receiver must be forged using 7075 T-6 Aluminum (not simply cast) further, the official “Mil-Spec” requirement states that the receivers will be Hard Anodized (MIL-A-8625E, Type III, Class 2), and yes, our receivers meet these requirements. Additionally, after the anodizing process is complete we apply a nice jet (flat) black coat of Teflon to give even more scratch resistance and a perfectly even dark flat black appearance. Our lower receivers are also Teflon coated for a near perfect match every time.
The upper receivers with the “M4 Ramps” feature an additional and new improvement as found in the currently issued military rifles. This is a small feed ramp in the receiver that must be matched with a feed ramp type receiver extension. (The receiver extension looks like part of the barrel with “Gear teeth” but it is really a separate part that is screwed onto he barrel during barrel manufacturing. It is very important to match the type of upper receiver and receiver extension. You want them to both either have or not have the ramps. The ramps are considered a good thing as they enhance the reliability of the weapon by assisting in the feeding process. ALL Anvil Arms AR15 type barrels, barreled upper receiver assemblies and of course all complete Anvil Arms weapons come with this as standard equipment. Yes, this costs us more but putting the best quality in your hands is worth it to us.
