REGISTERED PISTOL Lower Receiver

E-mail this product to a friend

The foundation for any AR-15 type PISTOL building project. Our lower receivers are made to the tightest tolerances in the industry. They are then inspected and re-inspected. We offer a 100% LIFETIME warranty against any manufacturing defects. If you order a lower receiver from us and within 30 days are not 100% satisfied with it you will get a 100% refund (Assuming the unit is in “as new” condition).

NOTE: PLEASE BE SURE TO CHECK THE BOTTOM OF THIS PAGE FOR AVAILABLE OPTIONS FOR THIS ITEM..!!

In order to legally build an AR type pistol, per Federal Law, you MUST use a receiver that was made and logged into the manufacturers book as a pistol. You may not simply “convert” a regular AR receiver into a pistol, to do so is a violation of Federal Law. Some unknowing (or unscrupulous) gun dealers will incorrectly tell you that they can “register” or “log” an AR lower on the Federal ATF Form #4473 (The big form you fill out at the dealer when you buy a gun). The “4473” is a record of transfer, NOT a record of manufacturer or change in type of weapon. Marking the 4473 as “pistol” when in fact a “rifle” receiver is being transferred is a violation of Federal Law. If you want an AR pistol, you need to buy a properly built, logged and transferred pistol receiver.

All our Anvil Arms pistol receivers are laser engraved on the right side, above the trigger pin “REGISTERED PISTOL”. No mythical letters of “virginity” are needed. This is a proper and legal receiver as is without the need of any additional paperwork. Other than the paperwork and the laser engraving there is no difference between this and any other Anvil Arms AA15 lower receiver. Keep in mind that as a pistol you MUST NOT install a shoulder stock or a forward vertical grip. To do so is a violation of Federal Law.

This is a serial numbered part and the transfer MUST GO THROUGH A FEDERAL FIREARMS LICENSE HOLDER. You can buy it from us and either come pick it up or we can ship it to your FFL and you do the required paperwork and pick it up there.

Our lower receivers are 100% “Mil-Spec” EXCEPT that the actual “Mil-Spec” includes the ability to fire fully automatically. Our upper and lower receivers meet every other dimension and tolerance in the specification except for that one area, where by federal law, they are not allowed to. However, our lower receivers are fully compatible and completely ready for a registered drop in auto sear!

By the way, just to be perfectly clear for those hyper detailed folks out there; The "Mil-Spec" says the receiver must be forged using 7075 T-6 Aluminum (not simply cast) further, the official “Mil-Spec” requirement states that the receivers will be Hard Anodized (MIL-A-8625E, Type III, Class 2), and yes, our receivers meet these requirements. Additionally, after the anodizing process is complete we apply a nice jet black coat of Teflon to give even more scratch resistance and a perfectly even dark black appearance. Our upper receivers are also Teflon coated for a near perfect match every time.

For our Law Enforcement Department customers we do have registered fully automatic models available. Please note, these are available ONLY to DEPARTMENTS, NOT to individual Officers. Purchase MUST be on departmental letterhead. ALL federal paperwork will be filed by us and approved by the ATF prior to any transfer of automatic weapons.

Be sure to ask about the CUSTOM LASER ENGRAVING service we offer!

NOTE: This morning, (Monday November 17, 2008) we were notified by the machine shop that produces our AA15 lower receivers that effective immediately there will be a price increase of $37.00 per unit on all orders not already shipped. This will of course force us to increase our price.

Because we still believe in bringing our clients the very best value possible we will absorb some of that increase for a period of 30 days. Therefore we are raising our retail and current sale price for all receivers by $30, (Meaning we will actually be making $7 LESS per receiver than before!) For the last 18 months our prices for stripped receives has been: Retail $145, on sale for $100. After the $30 increase the new prices are $175 on sale for $130 (Which is still below the “Old” normal retail price! We will continue to hold the sale price as long as we are able to do so. In 30 days (December 17, 2008) the prices will have to up. At that time we “expect” the price to be: Retail $180 hopefully to remain on sale at a price of $135, (Which is STILL $10.00 below the previous regular retail price!)

All orders that include an AA15 Lower Receiver will show an corresponding and equal price increase.

All clients that have been sent a sales order showing the $100 price will be honored. All new sales orders will unfortunately have to be at the new price. We sincerely apologize for the change but at the new price we must pay there is simply no other option. We did however hold off until the very last possible minute.
