Anvil Arms is pleased to announce that we offer Moly-coat surface protection coatings. For those not familiar with the Moly Coat product here is a link to the Moly-Coat factory web site, they can explain it far better than we can!
Norell Moly Resin (Link Here)
Moly coating is available on a variety of items. Any surface onto which Moly is applied must be able to withstand 300 degrees in the oven for 1 hour.
The vast majority of what we do is AR15 type work and we can price that type of work less than other weapons because we have the necessary holding fixtures for the Moly application and baking processes.
Pricing for AR15 type parts:
1: AR15 Type upper or lower receiver; stripped, new, not needing anything but a quick degrease and product application/baking: $50.00
2: AR15 Type upper or lower receiver, assembled. Price includes complete disassembly, cleaning, degrease and inspection of all parts and preparation for coating. Application and baking of coating. And finally professional reassembly: $75.00
3: AR15 Type barrel assembly. Barrel new, not installed, no front sight base or front sight base to be same color as barrel: $50.00
4: AR15 Type barrel assembly. Barrel assembled on an upper and the upper is not being coated, no front sight base or front sight base to be same color as barrel. Price includes complete disassembly, cleaning, degrease and inspection of all parts and preparation for coating. Application and baking of coating. And finally professional reassembly: $75.00
5: AR15 Type barrel assembly. Barrel assembled on an upper and the upper is being coated, (Barrel is coming off anyway) no front sight base or front sight base to be same color as barrel. Price includes complete disassembly, cleaning, degrease and inspection of all parts and preparation for coating. Application and baking of coating. And finally professional reassembly: $50.00
6” For above AR15 barrels with a front sight base that is to be removed for barrel coating, including black coating of the front sight base, complete disassembly, cleaning, degrease and inspection of all parts and preparation for coating. Application and baking of coating. And finally professional reassembly. Add to above barrel prices: $25.00
7: For most small AR parts the cost is usually $10.00 to $20.00 when combined with a job having 1 or more of the large parts above.
8: Most pistol frames and slides: MUST be completely detail stripped and ready for cleaning/coating. Sights left on will not be removed and will be coated. Full cleaning and degrease, coating and baking. Each part: $50.00
9: Small parts for pistols when doing a slide or frame usually $10.00 to $20.00
10: We can do many other jobs including shotgun barrels and receivers if they will fit in our oven. These parts are generally slightly more expensive that the AR parts because we do not have fixtures and therefore they are more difficult and time consuming. Generally a shotgun barrel or receiver will run about $75.00
If you have other items that you would like to coat we will be more than happy to discuss them with you.
