Vltor Light mount
Recommended for mounting the light directly to the rail when your not using a vertical foregrip. If you mount the light at the 6’oclock position you can activate the light simply by moving your hand slightly forward of your normal position and allowing your hand to come into contact with the rear mounted switch on the light. The will eliminate the need for an expensive and fragile remote tape type pressure switch.
By not using a remote switch you also maintain easy battery change and the ability to simply give the tail cap a quick twist to leave the light in the on position for extended periods (should it be appropriate to do so in the given tactical situation). To keep a pressure switch in the on position for extended periods you must of course maintain pressure on the switch which can quickly become tiring. This mount is all but unbreakable, goes on and removes quickly (without tools) allowing you to use the light as a freestanding hand light should you need to.
